ARCHBOLD - Sauder Woodworking Co. last year suffered its first financial loss in the collective memory of its owners, so yesterday the maker of ready-to-assemble furniture said it will pare the number of products it makes to help contain costs.

The move means eliminating 70 to 80 jobs, nearly all at its Fulton County production plant. But the reductions will be through attrition and probably will involve moves to other jobs.
